At Woolpack Veterinary Surgery we are more than happy to see and treat wildlife. The main species groups that we deal with are waterfowl, raptors, passerines (garden birds), foxes, hedgehogs, and badgers.
As a veterinary practice we feel we have a duty to care and protect all animals, so if you spot any injured wildlife please contact the practice on 01763 273707 where one of our team members will be more than happy to give advice.
Please remember that many wild animals aren’t used to human contact and as a result may bite or scratch if you get too close. Use common sense to judge whether it is safe to handle and catch the animal, making sure you are staying calm and wearing suitable gloves with a box or other appropriate object to place the animal in before bringing them to the surgery.
If you are ever unsure please call us before acting where we will be more than happy to help.
